Currently I am working with a program called in2site Live which will allow visitors to this site to interact with me directly.  Hopefully, this will be useful if you have a quick question you wish to ask.  Please bear with me as I test this application.

4 Aug 05 - Ok …. Well, I had a chance to mess with this in2site Live program a bit last night and here’s what I have learned so far.  What in2site Live allows me to do is to monitor my web site and when someone browses here, a generic username shows up in the listing.  I can then initiate a chat dialog with any given person on my site.  The issue I see with this is two fold.

 

1. I need the interactive dialog to be initiated by YOU … not me.

2. In order for this to work, every web browser has to allow pop-ups .. And in a world where we have come to pretty much loathe pop-ups … I’m thinking that kills this idea.

 

I’ll probably still mess with this a bit and see if there is a way to setup visitor initiation but ……..
